CORN CHICKEN

 

 

This Southern recipe will delight you! Enjoy this delicious chicken with your favorite vegetables or try my corn pudding recipe!

 

 

Preparation: 20 min; Cooking time: 45 min.
Serving 4

 

 

4 chicken thighs
4 chicken legs
6 oz. of Kellogg’s corn flakes
2 tbsp. of ketchup
1/2 lime juice
¼ tsp Tabasco
2 egg yolks + 1 egg white
1 pinch of nutmeg
1 garlic clove, minced
Salt and pepper
4 tbsp. of flour

 

Preheat the oven to 350 F.
Put the corn flakes in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
In a big bowl, mix the egg yolks with the nutmeg, Tabasco, lime juice, garlic, ketchup, salt and pepper.
Beat the egg white with a pinch of salt and add it to the preparation.
Put the flour in a dish and coat the pieces of chicken with it. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer the chicken to the mixing bowl. Cover each piece of poultry with the preparation and add the corn flakes. Make sure each piece of chicken is covered with the corn flakes.
Place the chicken in a baking sheet and cook it in the oven 45 minutes. Turn the pieces of chicken over after 25 minutes.
