NECTARINE CLAFOUTI WITH ALMONDS

  

Clafouti is originated from the region of Limousin in France. This traditional dessert is usually made with cherries, but the batter can be used with multiple fruits. Enjoy this true French specialty all year around!

 

Preparation: 20 min; cooking time: 1 hour and 5 min.

Serving 6/8

 

4 nectarines, cored and sliced

3 ½ oz unsalted butter, melted

3 ½ oz whole blanched almonds

2 packages of vanilla sugar

3 ½ oz of brown sugar

4 eggs

1 cup of heavy cream

1 cup of milk

2 1/8 oz corn starch

 

Preheat the oven to 350 F.

Brush a baking dish with some melted butter and arrange the sliced nectarines.

Combine all the ingredients in the bowl of a blender and process 3 minutes until smooth.

Pour the batter over the nectarines.

Bake 30 minutes.

Reduce the heat to 300 F. and bake 35 minutes.
