APPLE CARAMEL

 

This dessert will make your mouth water! It will melt as you eat it! Easy to prepare and so delicious! Take the time to make it, you won’t regret it!

 

Preparation: 20 minutes; cooking time: 1 h 30 minutes

Make 1 day ahead

 

8 apples Fuji

5.3 ounces of sugar

4 tbsp of water            

 

Preheat the oven to 430 F.

Warm up on high heat the sugar and water in a Dutch oven cocotte until you obtain a caramel. Set aside.

Peel the apples quarter them and slice them thin.

Arrange them tightly on top of the caramel in the Dutch oven cocotte. Bake them for 15 minutes.

Reduce the oven at 350 F. and continue baking for 30 minutes.

Take the Dutch oven cocotte out of the oven and prick the apples with a knife for the caramel to come on the surface of the apples. Cover and cook 30 more minutes.

Take the Dutch oven out of the oven, let cool down and refrigerate overnight.

Serve the next day!
